Epistemology and Ethics in Zhuangzi

چکیده
On a prima facia reading, Zhuangzi seems to endorse some form of skepticism or relativism. This at odds with as one the two main sources classical Daoism, considering ideals virtue and self-development promoted by that philosophy. However, Zhuangzi’s metaphorical allegorical style lends itself number interpretations his epistemology, well kind self-knowledge ethical development it might allow. A survey relevant literature shows epistemological debate is not easily solvable, but narrowing range interpretations, coherent picture ethics begins emerge, in which knowledge, especially self-knowledge, still possible, an self-actualization.
